Panoramic train tour in Colico

Panoramic train in Colico: itineraries

The panoramic train will be active every day from 16 July to 21 September departing from the central Piazza Garibaldi. It will be possible to choose between three different routes: Route number 1: Colico- Ciacc - a panoramic tour around Colico Route number 2: Colico - center - to explore the heart of the town Route number 3: Colico-Villatico - to discover the characteristic village of Villatico.

There are also two "extraordinary stops" that are worth mentioning:

On Tuesday and Saturday morning, route number two will include a stop at Fort Montecchio Nord, the best preserved military fort from the First World War in Europe. Here you can take part in the guided tour available in Italian and English lasting about an hour, starting at 10:00 and then it will be possible to take the train back to Piazza Garibaldi.

Furthermore, every Thursday and Saturday afternoon the train will also depart from the Piona campsites, and then continue along route number 1.

Timetables and prices of the panoramic train in Colico

All routes will be active every day from 10:00 to 12:30. from 4.00pm to 6.30pm and from 9.00pm to 11.00pm. The route starting from the campsite will take place on Thursday morning at 10:00 am and on Saturday afternoon at 5:00 pm.

Route number two with a special visit to Forte Montecchio Nord will take place on Tuesday and Saturday at 9.45am.

The train is free for children up to 3 years old, while it has a price of 2.50 euros for children aged 4 to 10 years and 5 euros for participants aged 10 and over. Attention: the entrance ticket to Forte Montecchio will have to be paid separately at the Fort ticket office. It is possible to purchase the ticket for the train at the ticket office located in Piazza Garibaldi.
